This project explores how the interaction design of energy sharing apps could influence policy, technical opportunities, and broader social outcomes within microgrids. Proposes multiple prototypes designed as research tools to study resident perceptions of future possibilities. By doing so, they give voice to communities about which energy futures they find preferable.

Contributing to the development of academic paper based on findings from prior coursework in network science under Professor Liang's mentorship.

This interactive installation aims to simulate a "digital third place" by asking attendees to respond to a universal prompt, then observing how the ability to see other responses and overall group sentiment alters user behavior and interaction together in physical space.

Interactive web map visualizing campaign contributions in the Michigan 2022 Gubernatorial Election. Final submission for the 2025 data science hackathon "Ann Arbor Data Dive" with the Michigan Department of State, produced in 5 hours of hacking.

Open Source Smart Home Deployment

Interaction Design UX Research System Integration

Self-hosted deployment of open source smart home management software Home Assistant, complete with custom performance/monitoring dashboards, user profiles, lighting presets, and place-based smart automations. Use of motion sensors, temperature sensors, door sensors, air quality sensors, smart plugs, smart lighting, smart speakers, displays for automations; and ESP32 boards for reactive lighting and remote sensing.

Mapping Surveillance w/ TouchDesigner

Generative Live Visuals Speculative Design GIS

Live generated, audio reactive visualization of surveillance cameras and automatic license plate readers (ALPRs) in Detroit. Geospatial data pulled from OpenStreetMap using Overpass Turbo API calls, cleaned in QGIS and passed to TouchDesigner where all visuals were generated.
